These classic men's brown fade plastic vintage eyeglasses are in mint condition and ready for prescription lenses or sunnglasses. The frame is marked ''48 24'' and the arms read ''SRO U.S.A. 5 3/4''. The plastic has a nice sheen with no cracks, crazing or discoloration and the rivets shine bright. This is the Harrison model from Styl Rite Optical (SRO), dating from the late 1960s into the early 1970s. They're unused, never worn, never had lenses. They fade from dark brown to very light, translucent brown. They have a smooth, keyhole bridge, gentle bridge tabs, strong, three-barrel European-style hinges without any wobble, neat, almost ''hood ornament'' rivet details on the temples and SRO's nice grip detail at the temple ends. Great pair of frames, super design, ready for their first lenses and years of service!
Temples are measured their full length, hinge to tip, as though they were straightened out. Why? Because they're adjustable, so measurements to the bend vary based on maker and adjustment. Lens and bridge measurements are from lens edge to lens edge. Hinge to hinge is measured from screw to screw. All frames are thoroughly inspected before leaving the Attic. I'm thorough about condition so there are no surprises and these glasses are in mint condition. They'll make great everyday glasses or some very cool sunglasses.
If you have any questions about this pair of glasses or anything else, please don't hesitate to contact me. I try to answer all questions promptly.
