These classic men's black plastic vintage eyeglasses are in mint condition and ready for prescription lenses or sunglasses. The frame is marked ''48/20'' and the arms read ''5 3/4'' SM NOWMAN FRAME KOREA''. The plastic has a nice sheen with no cracks, crazing or discoloration and the rivets shine bright. This is the NowMan model from Shane-Michael Optical Co. out of San Francisco and dating from the later 1960s. Super frames and still very Now, Man. They're unused frames, never worn, never had lenses and one or two will even come with an original frame card. They have nice broad temples with a great swoop and paddle at the end, smooth bridge, very strong five barrel hinges, nice and tight. Great frames, ready to go!
Temples are measured their full length, hinge to tip, as though they were straightened out. Why? Because they're adjustable, so measurements to the bend vary based on maker and adjustment. Lens and bridge measurements are from lens edge to lens edge. Hinge to hinge is measured from screw to screw. All frames are thoroughly inspected before leaving the Attic. I'm thorough about condition so there are no surprises and these glasses are in mint condition. They'll make great everyday glasses or some very cool sunglasses.
If you have any questions about this pair of glasses or anything else, please don't hesitate to contact me. I try to answer all questions promptly.
