These classic men's black plastic vintage eyeglasses are in excellent condition and ready for prescription lenses or sunglasses. The frame is marked ''B&L 48-22'' and the arms read ''B&L 5 3/4 SAFETY''. The plastic has a nice sheen with no cracks, crazing or discoloration and the rivets shine bright.

Great frames from Bausch and Lomb, probably made in the 1950s. These are the traditional B&L safety glasses, the ''plus'' rivets on the front and the well known B&L ''dash'' rivets on the side. They have a keyhole bridge with deep bridge tabs, those stylish batwing temples and nice, tight five barrel hinges. Super pair of frames, ready to go!

Temples are measured their full length, hinge to tip, as though they were straightened out. Why? Because they're adjustable, so measurements to the bend will vary based on maker and adjustment. Lens and bridge measurements are from lens edge to lens edge. Hinge to hinge is measured from screw to screw.

I describe any flaws found while cleaning, but there are no problems to report with this pair. I'm thorough about condition so there are no surprises and these glasses are in excellent condition. They'll make great everyday glasses or some very cool sunglasses.
