These classic G-man Malcolm X tortoise eyeglasses are brand new, mint condition and ready for prescription lenses or sunglasses.  The arms are marked ''Anglo American Optical FRAME ENGLAND CE MOD THE X TOSH 49 - 19'' and the glasses are otherwise unmarked.

This is a very contemporary take on the combination style. This is the Model X from Anglo American Optical. They're hand-made in England, well-done frames. The top and temples are tortoise shell plastic and the rims are a dark silver or pewter tone. Great rivet details, reminiscent of the old Sirmont rivets used by American Optical. The hinges are contemporary, three-barrel, spring hinges. Nice pair of contemporary frames, ready to go! The hinges are nice and tight, the temples show no wear, even at the ears, and the nose pads are like new, with a nice mother of pearl finish. These frames are in mint condition.

Temples are measured their full length, hinge to tip, as though they were straightened out. Why? Because they're adjustable, so measurements to the bend vary based on maker and adjustment. Lens and bridge measurements are from lens edge to lens edge. Hinge to hinge is measured from screw to screw.

All frames are thoroughly inspected before leaving the Attic. I'm thorough about condition so there are no surprises and these glasses are in mint condition. They'll make great everyday glasses or some very cool sunglasses.
