These classic men's tortoise plastic eyeglasses are brand new, mint condition and ready for prescription lenses or sunglasses. The arms are marked ''Warhol G027 TOR 49 - 22 150 CE GOLDFINCH Frame China AIU'' and the glasses are otherwise unmarked. The plastic has a nice sheen and coloration and the triple rivets shine bright.
Here's a frame from a well-known old name, Tura. As the markings suggest, this is a contemporary frame. Their model name is ''Warhol'' and their color name is ''Havana Tortoise.'' This model is very much like some popular models from the later 1950s and early 1960s. The Tart Optical FDR model comes to mind as it was a very similar frame shape and also used the triple rivet pattern. The Warhol is nice for the real through-riveting of the hinges and what especially impressed me were the 9-barrel hinges. Most of the old frames in this style had 7-barrel hinges, so this was a nice touch. They come with ''demo'' lenses also marked ''GOLDFINCH''. Brand new, ready to go!
Temples are measured their full length, hinge to tip, as though they were straightened out. Why? Because they're adjustable, so measurements to the bend vary based on maker and adjustment. Lens and bridge measurements are from lens edge to lens edge. Hinge to hinge is measured from screw to screw. All frames are thoroughly inspected before leaving the Attic. I'm thorough about condition so there are no surprises and these glasses are in mint condition. They'll make great everyday glasses or some very cool sunglasses.
