These classic black over silver combination eyeglasses are brand new, mint condition and ready for prescription lenses or sunglasses.  The arms are marked ''Anglo American Optical Frame England ce MOD THE X BLK 49 - 19'' and the glasses are otherwise unmarked.

This is a very contemporary take on the combination style. It's the Model X from Anglo American Optical. They're hand-made in England, well-done frames. The top and temples are black plastic and the rims are a dark silver or pewter tone. Great rivet details, reminiscent of the old Sirmont rivets used by American Optical. The hinges are contemporary, three-barrel spring hinges. Nice pair of contemporary frames, ready to go.

Temples are measured their full length, hinge to tip, as though they were straightened out. Why? Because they're adjustable, so measurements to the bend vary.  Lens and bridge measurements are from lens edge to lens edge. Hinge to hinge is measured from screw to screw. I'm occasionally asked if these are authentic Anglo American frames and yes, they really are. They carry the manufacturer warranty.

All frames are thoroughly inspected before leaving the Attic. I'm thorough about condition so there are no surprises and your frames will depart in top condition. They'll make great everyday glasses or some very cool sunglasses.
