These classic vintage silver over silver eyeglasses are in mint condition and ready for prescription lenses or sunglasses. The bridge is marked ''1/10 12K GF S.R.O. 24'', the frame is marked ''46'' and the arms read ''USA 6'' and the other frames are marked according to their sizes.
These are unused vintage stock, never been worn, never had lenses, manufactured by Style-Rite Optics out of New York in the 1950's. They're fantastic combination frames with aluminum brows and temples and gold-filled (white gold) rims and bridge. This is one of my favorite combination frames. Aluminum makes for a very strong frame and the Style-Rite aluminum frames have the added benefit of coated temple tips instead of hard plastic. Less slipping, more comfort and easily replaced down the road, too. Notice that great taper shape to the temples and of course, you can't miss those shields at the corners, perfect for a drive in your '57 Chevy! Remarkable frames, ready to go!
Temples are measured their full length, hinge to tip, as though they were straightened out. Why? Because they're adjustable, so measurements to the bend vary. Lens and bridge measurements are from lens edge to lens edge. Hinge to hinge is measured from screw to screw. I'm thorough about condition so there are no surprises and these glasses are in mint condition. They'll make great everyday glasses or some very cool sunglasses.
If you have any questions about this pair of glasses or anything else, please don't hesitate to contact me. I try to answer all questions promptly.
