These classic gold wire rim eyeglasses are brand new, mint condition and ready for prescription lenses or sunglasses. They're available in several frame sizes and with both skull temples (paddle-style arms) and cable temples (the traditional curled style of arms). The frames shown are marked ''48 ART CRAFT 23'' and the arms read ''ART CRAFT - U.S.A.'' The other sizes are also marked according to their sizes. The bridge is detailed with a simple pair of straight lines, very fine and well-done and the rest of the frame is without design engraving.
These are brand new Ful-Vue frames from a long-famous name in the optical business, Art Craft Optical, located in Rochester, New York since their founding in 1918. This frame design is a real classic, unchanged since the 1960s and really not much changed since it's introduction in the 1940s. They have a really nice yellow gold finish over a stainless steel base. The bridge shape is the same one they've used forever and the clip-style nose pads are some of my favorites, simple to find and replace. The official frame model name is the ''Art-Bilt 100A-ST Ful-Vue'' but you'll also hear them called ''P3 frames'', after the military jargon for this lens shape. Nice frames, real classics!
Lens and bridge measurements are from lens edge to lens edge. Remember that temples are always measured their full length, hinge to tip, as though they were straightened out. Why? Because they're adjustable, so measurements to the bend vary. NOTE: Art-Craft cable temples are about 7mm longer than their nominal/marked length. Hinge to hinge is measured from screw to screw. Your frames will be very thoroughly inspected before shipment so there are no surprises. It's also worth noting that Art Craft frames carry a 1 year warranty. These really are classic frames. They make great everyday glasses or some very cool sunglasses.
Cable temple covers to fit these frames can be found here (3.0 heat shrink). If you have any questions about the Art Craft frames or anything else, please don't hesitate to contact me. I try to answer all questions promptly.
