These classic men's tortoise plastic vintage eyeglasses are in mint condition and ready for prescription lenses or sunglasses. The frame is stamped ''46 - 24'' and the arms read ''Imperial 6 U.S.A.''. The plastic has a nice sheen with no cracks, crazing or discoloration and the metal decorations shine.

What a great pair of glasses! They're made by Imperial Optical, their 660 model. They're unused vintage stock, so they've never been worn and never had lenses. Nice smooth keyhole bridge, strong seven barrel hinges, taper temples and a nice extension on those hornrims, too! Really great frames! The hinges are nice and tight, the temples show no wear of course, they are unused, of course, and the bridge is smooth and clean. These frames are in mint condition.

How to measure for vintage frames.

Remember that temples are always measured their full length, hinge to tip, as though they were straightened out. Why? Because they're adjustable, so measurements to the bend will vary based on who wore the frame. Also remember that temples can be changed, so if this length isn't quite right for you, let me know - I may have a matching pair! Lens and bridge measurements are from lens edge to lens edge. Hinge to hinge is measured from screw to screw.

I describe any flaws found while cleaning, but there are no problems to report with this pair. (If you disagree with my assessment, send them back for a full refund including the shipping paid, too!) I'm thorough about condition so there are no surprises and these glasses are in mint condition. They'll make great everyday glasses or some very cool sunglasses.
