These classic G-man Malcolm X vintage black silver eyeglasses are in really excellent condition and ready for prescription lenses or sunglasses. The bridge is marked ''48 20'' and the arms read ''DOBBS II SRO 140 HANDMADE USA''.

This is the Dobbs II frame from Styl-Rite Optics, a real favorite combination frame for their traditional shape and fine tops and temples. The plastic is a dark black wood grain that SRO called charcoal and the bridge and rims are silver in color, the material the typical eyeglass frame alloy, called ''monel''. The nose pads are clean and clear, the temples in nice shape from hinge to tip. The screws are all tested and working well, so lenses should be a straightforward proposition. Great pair of glasses, ready for servic.

Temples are measured their full length, hinge to tip, as though they were straightened out. Why? Because they're adjustable, so measurements to the bend will vary based on who wore the frame. Lens and bridge measurements are from lens edge to lens edge. Hinge to hinge is measured from screw to screw.

I describe any flaws found while cleaning, but there are no problems to report with this pair. (If you disagree with my assessment, send them back for a full refund including the shipping paid, too!) I'm thorough about condition so there are no surprises and these glasses are in really excellent condition. They'll make great everyday glasses or some very cool sunglasses.
