These classic Shuron Ronsir Revelation black silver combination frames are brand new, in mint condition and ready for prescription or sunglass lenses. The frames shown in the photos are a 50-22 frame, marked ''50 22'' on the bridge, ''50'' on the frame and ''REVELATION 5 3/4 SHURON USA'' on the temples. Other frame sizes are marked the same way, each according to their sizes. The temples shown are Shuron's Slipper style, but please note other temple styles are available, too!
This is the Shuron Ronsir ''Revelation'' frame in black and silver, one of the traditional colors for a combination frame. The Revelation is a new style from Shuron in the last couple years, a slight modification of their classic Ronsir frames. The tops and temples are the same as a Ronsir, but the chassis, the silver section made up of the bridge and rims, you'll notice the lenses have a lower profile than the classic Ronsir frame. I've had several customers wanting a nice, generous width in a Ronsir, but then having challenges with the lens height. The Revelations address that challenge and worked well for those fellows, so here they are in the Attic!
Temples are measured their full length, hinge to tip, as though they were straightened out. Why? Because they're adjustable, so measurements to the bend will vary based on who wore the frame. Lens and bridge measurements are from lens edge to lens edge. Hinge to hinge is measured from screw to screw. The frames shown are a 50 - 22 - 5 3/4'', but the Ronsir Revelation comes in a variety of sizes, all listed in detail here. They also come in gray briar, black briar, golden briar and tortoise. They really can be done in any Ronsir color and to order one that's not shown, please email to make arrangements - it's easy. The turnaround is quick and I make sure items are checked thoroughly before they leave for your address.
Ronsir Revelation sunglass clip-ons are now available, newly introduced by Shuron. They come in all Ronsir Revelation sizes, complete with very nice grey or brown polarized lenses and a black clamshell case, too. They're quality clip-on frames and it's worth noting that unlike many clip-ons these days, they have an eyewire screw like the old ones always did. This means changing lenses in your clip-on frame a simple proposition, a nice feature. The price shown below is for clip-ons purchased with frames, but you can order them without the matching frames here.
TEMPLES: I stock the standard adult men's temple length of 5 3/4 inches (145 mm), 6 inch (150 mm), a shorter 5 1/2 inch (140 mm) and a very long 6 1/4 inch (158 mm), all in both the ''Taper'' and the ''Slipper'' styles shown below. The Slipper style is associated with earlier models of the Ronsir and other makers also used the same style early on in the history of combination frames. The Taper style is more of a 1950s development. There are also cable temples, one called the ''Relaxo'' and similar in shape to the ''Slipper'' temples. The Relaxo adds $32 to the total frame price. There's also an all-metal cable temple they call the ''Aztec''. Add $36 for the Aztec temples instead of the regular plastic temples.
These are nice frames, well-made and an outstanding version of the classic Ronsir. They make great everyday glasses or some very cool sunglasses.
