These classic gold rimless 3 piece antique eyeglasses are in mint condition and ready for your prescription lenses. The bridge is marked ''1/10 12KT P&M'' and the arms read ''1/10 12KT''. The markings mean the frame is 12 karat gold-filled.
These frames are unused antique stock, never worn since they were made, most likely around the turn of the century. It's always a pleasure to handle such nice craftsmanship and in such pristine condition, too. The screws are uncut, ready for your optician to snip and file after fitting your lenses. As you would expect, the finish is outstanding throughout the frame, including the back of the bridge, often a challenged area on frames worn previously. The temples have that great almost musical ''spring'' and they finish with teardrop tips. The hinges have slightly more extension that I sometimes find in this vintage of frame, a nice feature to give you a little more frame width. (Remember, it's really the lenses you have made that determine the overall size of your glasses when it comes to 3 piece frames...) Really wonderful frames in mint condition and ready for their very first owner!
Please note that the lenses shown here are for display only. You are purchasing the bridge, temples, hinges and screws. Everything you need for a pair of glasses – just add your own lenses! Rimless frames allow you to pick the shape of your lens - oval, round, octagonal, you name it. The lens and overall width dimensions listed are for the display lenses only. Your own measurements will be determined by your choice of lens. Remember that temples are always measured their full length, hinge to tip, as though they were straightened out. Why? Because they're adjustable, so measurements to the bend will vary based on who wore the frame. Lens and bridge measurements are from lens edge to lens edge. Hinge to hinge is measured from screw to screw. I describe any flaws found while cleaning, but there are no problems to report with this pair. I'm thorough about condition so there are no surprises and can honestly say these glasses are in mint condition. They'll make great everyday glasses or some very cool sunglasses.
This frame is eligible for a complimentary vintage case. If you would like a case, please see the Best Case Scenario page! If you have any questions about this pair of glasses or anything else, please don't hesitate to contact me. I try to answer all questions promptly.
