These classic men's black plastic vintage eyeglasses are in excellent condition and ready for prescription lenses or sunglasses. The frame is stamped ''48 - 24'' and the arms read ''TITMUS U.S.A. 4 1/2 - 5 3/4''. The plastic has a nice sheen with no cracks, crazing or discoloration and the metal decorations shine.

This frame is from T.O., as you'll note on the rivet emblems. T.O. is Titmus Optical out of Chester, Virginia, in business since the early 1900s. These frames probably date from the middle to late 1950s and they're real classics. The two-tone style is one many makers called a ''Clear Bridge'', very cool. Keyhole bridge, tight 5 barrel hinges, and deep bridge tabs make this is classic vintage frame. Great glasses in excellent condition, ready to go.

How to measure for vintage frames.

Remember that temples are always measured their full length, hinge to tip, as though they were straightened out. Why? Because they're adjustable, so measurements to the bend will vary based on who wore the frame. Also remember that temples can be changed, so if this length isn't quite right for you, let me know - I may have a matching pair! Lens and bridge measurements are from lens edge to lens edge. Hinge to hinge is measured from screw to screw.

This frame is previously owned, so it has light surface scuffing, the kind from slipping in and out of a case and regular cleaning. They're very clean and ready for lenses, great frames. I'm thorough about condition so there are no surprises and can honestly say these glasses are in excellent condition. They'll make great everyday glasses or some very cool sunglasses.
