CREDIT CARD: Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover are all accepted for US customers and some international locations, too. Credit card payments are processed by PayPal, but a PayPal account is not required for US customers. To use a credit card please be sure to look for ''Use your credit card or bank account (where available) Continue '' when directed to the payment page, operated by PayPal. Click here to see an image of the payment page and the two choices you'll have. PayPal sometimes asks if you're really sure you don't want to use a PayPal account. That screen can be tricky... it looks like this. Note that the PayPal screen ''look'' is changed from time to time, but the links you're seeking will be essentially the same. Sometimes, Health Savings Account (HSA) cards will not be accepted, so using a personal card and reimbursing is advised in those circumstances. A detailed paid invoice is provided that may be printed for your records. PAY PAL: PayPal purchases using a PayPal balance or with your bank account or a credit card selected as the payment source will ship without delay, often the following day and sometimes even the same day! International orders often work best paid using PayPal. BY MAIL:
Mailed payment may be made by arrangement. Only Post Office or USPS (United States Postal
Service) Money Orders are accepted. Sorry, but checks are not accepted. Please email to make arrangements for mailed payment.
One-of-a-kind items will be held
for up to 10 days while awaiting payment. Purchases by mailed
payment are not eligible for refund, only for exchange and only as otherwise covered
by the Attic return policy.
Sales tax of 8.25 percent is charged on the shipping and handling for items shipped or billed inside the state of Texas.
We ship and receive daily Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, except for postal holidays. For sample shipping rates, estimated transit times and detailed information on US and international shipping, please click here. To keep shipping costs low, we do not automatically insure your shipment, but you may purchase insurance for your shipment, or, for international shipments, please select the Express International choice for insured shipping. The Optometrist Attic does not cover lost or damaged items, but we do pack extremely well and have had no damage to any shipments to date. (Many thousands of packages and counting!) Special-order items, which are those items not kept in stock and generally marked with an asterisk (*) or arranged by email correspondence, will ship on the posted timeframes listed for those pieces. This is usually within 4 to 10 business days for US items and up to 6 weeks for overseas special order items. If your order includes both special-order and in-stock items, please allow the posted special order timeframe for your order to be filled completely and then ship or please do email in advance to make arrangements. Timeframes for back-ordered items or stock items that are out-of-stock vary depending upon the circumstance, but most US items will ship within 10 business days of your order. Orders for multiples of the same item may require additional days. If your order includes both back-order and in-stock items, I'll email to make arrangements. Please note that secondary shipments will be sent USPS First Class, Delivery Confirmation, unless other arrangements are made.
Many frames we offer are custom-configured on request, so any quotes are honored for and quoted items held for 5 days unless arranged otherwise. Items are held 10 days while awaiting mailed USPS money order payment.
We measure all our frames carefully and get within 1/16 inch, but the MEASUREMENTS ARE ALL APPROXIMATE, UNLESS STATED AS MARKED ON THE FRAME. I do try to keep up with variations in the contemporary frames, but measurements can and do vary slightly depending upon changes in manufacturer production processes and suppliers. Unless identified as ''unused vintage stock", "new old stock", ''new'' or ''brand new'' expect that a frame was once worn and has now been cleaned and restored. Some new frames come with a case from the manufacturer and sometimes a cleaning cloth and display box. If a case, cleaning cloth or display box are not pictured or mentioned on the item page, the frame purchase does not include a case. Brand new, contemporary frames carry the manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. For assistance handling a warranty issue or for details on your manufacturer's warranty, please feel free to email, providing details regarding the issue, your Attic invoice number and your request for warranty coverage. Vintage frames used or unused do not carry any warranty and are sold ''AS-IS'', but they are covered by the Optometrist Attic return policy. Though we don't smoke, I can't promise vintage frames will be completely free of smoke or other odors because they've been collected from a variety of sources. I can and do promise that all frames are very clean. All wire frames, metal frames and metal parts should be assumed to contain some nickel in the alloy unless specifically listed otherwise. Frame material colors (such as, but not limited to: ''tortoise'', ''havana'', ''briar'', ''demi'', ''wood'', ''smoke'', ''amber'', etcetera) do vary from frame to frame and may not appear precisely as they do on your computer screen in the photographs, depending upon that particular frame, your computer screen display of the digital images and lighting in your location. Many frames are made from Zyl, which is cellulose acetate, a plastic made from wood fibers and there is always some variation in the coloration of this material. Because of variations in frame materials from frame to frame and variations in computer displays of digital photography, THERE IS NO WARRANTY, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, OF THE EXACT APPEARANCE OF FRAME MATERIAL COLOR, SHADE OR PATTERN. Some fine-tuning and adjustment is typically required for any temple installation. The Attic Website is built for use on standard internet browser software, such as Internet Explorer, FireFox, Chrome, Safari, etcetera. The site is not intended for use with a cell phone browser and while some parts of the site may be visible on such devices, purchases typically can't be made using cell phone software. All policies and terms of sale listed on this page are subject to change without notice. Policies in force at the time of purchase will be honored.
Most Attic purchases are eligible for return. Comparing frame measurements and use of ''Virtual Fit'' are encouraged to help find a good match. For more about fitting, please see the Attic Fitting page. Return, exchange and refund details are
described here.
We use the following terms for grading condition of our frames:

I'm a vintage and classic frames collector and wearer from way back. I love the old frames and want to share the joy of classic glasses. The craftsmanship is the best, they can handle abuse and they're often less expensive than new frames! Many frames we offer are unused vintage stock. Frames that have been fitted for lenses are cleaned ultrasonically, detailed, checked for issues of any kind and polished. Thorough cleaning means I find flaws and my listings note whatever I find. To learn more about my reputation for honest dealings and good customer service, feel free to check my PayPal verification or my old eBay ratings and comments. I no longer participate in eBay. Feel free to email with any questions. I love the classic glasses.
