These classic gold wire rim vintage eyeglasses are in mint condition and ready for prescription lenses or sunglasses. The brindge is marked ''FUL-VUE AO 1/10 12K GF'' and the arms read ''AO GF''. The markings mean the frame is 12 karat gold-filled. The bridge, frame and arms are all engraved with an alternating fan and diagonal pattern.

This is a frame by American Optical (AO) dating from the late 1930s or early 1940s. It's their ''Owen'' model Ful-Vue frame and these are unused, never worn, never had lenses. The nose pads are the earlier AO ''mother of pearl'' style and pristine, fun to see. The screws are tested and working properly, the temples are in the original, factory shape as they came from AO and the finish is gorgeous throughout. These are real treat for me to see and they'll be a great pair of frames for daily or dress wear. Enjoy!

Temples are measured their full length, hinge to tip, as though they were straightened out. Why? Because they're adjustable, so measurements to the bend vary based on maker and adjustment. Lens and bridge measurements are from lens edge to lens edge. Hinge to hinge is measured from screw to screw.

All frames are thoroughly inspected before leaving the Attic. I'm thorough about condition so there are no surprises and these glasses are in mint condition. They'll make great everyday glasses or some very cool sunglasses.
