These classic men's black plastic eyeglasses are brand new, mint condition and ready for prescription lenses or sunglasses. The arms are marked ''Anglo American Optical Frame England CE 221 EVO BLACK 44 - 23'' and the glasses are otherwise unmarked. The plastic has a nice sheen with no cracks, crazing or discoloration and the rivets shine bright.

What a brilliant frame! This is the model 221 EVO from Anglo American Optical, very well-made and very classy, made in England. It's a newly minted frame, available in a several colors, but the frames in the photos are classic black. The ''EVO'' in the model name means these are an evolution from earlier versions of round, zyl frames. This design has really smooth lines, a simple, curved bridge and gentle, clear bridge tabs. Note also the scoring at the temple tips for a good grip. These really are brilliant eyeglasses, ready for years of fashionable service.

Temples are measured their full length, hinge to tip, as though they were straightened out. Why? Because they're adjustable, so measurements to the bend vary based on maker and adjustment.  Lens and bridge measurements are from lens edge to lens edge. Hinge to hinge is measured from screw to screw.

I'm occasionally asked if these are authentic Anglo American frames and yes, they really are. They carry the manufacturer warranty. All frames are thoroughly inspected before leaving the Attic. I'm thorough about condition so there are no surprises and these glasses are in mint condition. They'll make great everyday glasses or some very cool sunglasses.
