These classic silver round wire rim antique eyeglasses are in very good condition and ready for your prescription lenses, Daniel. The bridge is marked ''SHURON'' and with the Shuron logo and the glasses are otherwise unmarked. The bridge, frame and arms are all engraved with an elongated diamond pattern.

These are a nice pair of frames from Shuron. Though they're not marked for gold, based on the style and the way the finish polished, I do believe they're gold-filled. The filigree is matching, so all the parts are probably original and everything is tested and working well, so adding lenses should be straightforward. The hinges are nice and tight and the nose pads are smooth and clean with a nice mother of pearl finish. These frames are in very good condition.

How to measure for vintage frames.

Wire rims are flexible, so lenses can be made to a variety of shapes for this frame. This style is worn round, but can also be worn with nearly round lenses or other shapes. Remember that temples are always measured their full length, hinge to tip, as though they were straightened out. Why? Because they're adjustable, so measurements to the bend will vary based on who wore the frame! Lens and bridge measurements are from lens edge to lens edge. Hinge to hinge is measured from screw to screw.

The temples have some finish wear at the ears, but no weak spots or fraying. I suggest cable temple covers for this frame. (…and for all cable temples, for that matter!) There's a visible repair to the back corner of the bridge, right side. It's a well done repair and I didn't notice it at first. The joint seems quite solid, so I expect they'll give plenty of good service! I'm picky about condition so there are no surprises and can honestly say these glasses are in very good condition. They'll make great everyday glasses or some very cool sunglasses.
