These classic silver round Windsor antique eyeglasses are in mint condition and ready for your prescription lenses. The bridge is marked ''SILVALINE'' and the glasses are otherwise unmarked. The bridge is engraved with a repeating triple diagonal line and the rest of the frame is without engraving. These frames are unused vintage stock, probably from the early 1920's. They're silvalene, which is a favorite alloy used by Shuron back then. I don't know if they're Shuron frames because they do not show the Shuron mark, but the silvalene mark and the temple design are ones I've seen from Shuron. Great finish throughout, concave bridge with a nice broad surface. Great frames like the day they were made. The hinges are nice and tight, the temples show no wear, even at the ears, and the bridge is smooth and clean. These frames are in mint condition.

Wire rims are flexible, so lenses can be made to a variety of shapes for this frame. This style is worn round, but can also be worn with nearly round lenses or other shapes. Remember that temples are always measured their full length, hinge to tip, as though they were straightened out. Why? Because they're adjustable, so measurements to the bend will vary based on who wore the frame! Lens and bridge measurements are from lens edge to lens edge. Hinge to hinge is measured from screw to screw. I describe any flaws found while cleaning, but there are no problems to report with this pair. (If you disagree with my assessment, send them back for a full refund of your purchase price and the shipping paid, too!) I'm picky about condition so there are no surprises and can honestly say these glasses are in mint condition. They'll make great everyday glasses or some very cool sunglasses.
This frame is eligible for a complimentary vintage case, if you wish. Please see the Best Case Scenario page for further information! If you have any questions about this pair of glasses or anything else, please don't hesitate to contact me. I try to answer all questions promptly.
