These are English-made. You can tell by the hinges. They call them spoon-style. After some quality time cleaning these, I'm certain they've never been worn. No finish loss or corrosion anywhere and the coverings are perfect, still pliable. Just a great pair of glasses. I found them with reading Rx lenses, still sporting a paper tag reading ''1.0'', what I beleive to be the correction. Of course, the screws are working well so you can have lenses installed, but if you need a 1.0 reading lens, they're yours! The hinges are nice and tight, the temples show no wear, even at the ears, and the bridge is smooth and clean. These frames are in really excellent condition.

How to measure for vintage frames.

Wire rims are flexible, so lenses can be made to a variety of shapes for this frame. This style is worn round, but can also be worn with nearly round lenses or other shapes. Remember that temples are always measured their full length, hinge to tip, as though they were straightened out. Why? Because they're adjustable, so measurements to the bend will vary based on who wore the frame. Also remember that temples can be changed, so if this length isn't quite right for you, let me know - I may have a matching pair! Lens and bridge measurements are from lens edge to lens edge. Hinge to hinge is measured from screw to screw.

I describe any flaws found while cleaning, but there are no problems to report with this pair. (If you disagree with my assessment, send them back for a full refund including the shipping paid, too!) I'm thorough about condition so there are no surprises and can honestly say these glasses are in really excellent condition. They'll make great everyday glasses or some very cool sunglasses.
